MAP Academy Graduate Research Assistant Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools

The Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics & Psychometrics (MAP Academy) is seeking a graduate research assistant who will support the execution of funded research projects using quantitative methods.

Position overview: The faculty/staff in the MAP Academy collaborate with scientists from various disciplines within the social, behavioral, education, and health fields to help promote the design and implementation of methodologically sound research, and to provide effective grant-writing support to help optimize UNL’s research. MAP Academy collaborations include numerous federally-funded applied, field-relevant research projects.

The graduate student will assist with: managing and analyzing quantitative data; developing and managing Qualtrics surveys; and participating in project and MAP Academy meetings. We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to take leadership roles. Must have taken at least 1 semester of college-level statistics courses for consideration. Prior research experience and working knowledge/skills in basic to intermediate quantitative methods and statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Mplus, R) will be preferred.
